FAST Academy Shanghai was founded in 2020 by the well-known Future Technology Education Group in Shanghai. It is an independent co-educational preparatory school for grades 9 to 12.
We aim to provide a different path for students who wish to receive a more authentic American education while staying in China. FAST Academy Shanghai upholds the concept of holistic education, offering a wide range of honors and AP courses, along with rich club activities, electives, and social practices.

The school adopts Project Based Learning (PBL), a project-management-oriented curriculum model. According to each student's characteristics, they choose one pathway among humanities, sciences, arts, or sports as their direction for future studies. Every student has a unique timetable, extracurricular activities, and college planning, and language training (TOEFL, SAT, ACT) is integrated into the curriculum.
Students must complete a total of 24 credits from grades 9 to 12 to graduate. One credit consists of a full academic year or two semesters of coursework.
We help students apply to top 50 universities in the US by tailoring relevant courses and supporting them throughout the application process.

Covering journalism, film and television, and advertising, these courses cultivate students' media literacy and creative expression, supported by professional photography and video equipment and multimedia editing labs.
