For the spring semester (starting in February), applications open in August of the previous year and close in November of the previous year.

For the fall semester (starting in September), applications open in December of the previous year and close in March of the year of entry.

FAST recruits students nationwide in (pre-)Grades 9–12.

Applicants need to pay a 300 RMB application fee when registering for the entrance exam. No other fees are required during the application period.

FAST provides dormitories, but students may also choose to commute. Boarding students may return home on weekends. The boarding fee is 8,000 RMB per semester.

If a student did not pass a previous FAST selection, they may reapply in the next semester or academic year and participate in the assessment again. The previous result will not affect the new application.

We hope our students have strengths, interests, individuality, and capabilities, and can develop in a well-rounded way across academics, character, physical fitness, aesthetics, and practical skills. We do not have rigid or fixed selection criteria, because we believe every student is unique.

Upon graduation, students receive a FAST diploma accredited by Cognia in the United States.
